Connor while he was in Washington, June 1864-February 1865, caring for Selden Connor, who was recovering from wound. Also lettersfrom several others during his recuperation; copy of letter from L. M. Morrill, May 13, 1866 in connection with appointment as collector of Internal Revenue.

Seldon Conner was born in Fairfield, Maine, and in 1859 graduated at Tufts College, as well as studying law in Vermont. While attending Tufts University, he was a member of the Zeta Psi Fraternity.
